Same Story, Different Book ***Possible Spoiler Alert***
I have been a Lora Leigh fan since her early Elloras Cave days, but I must say that I am a bit disappointed that she couldn't find something fresh and new to add to her prolific writings. Wicked Pleasure is basically Marly's Choice with 2 brothers instead of 3 and an evil aunt instead of an evil uncle. The erotic scenes were mediocre, not particularly hot. I expect more from Ms. Leigh.

It also appears to me that in most of her writings, the female has been in love with the male(s) since they were quite young (usually pre teen) and the male was several years older (6 years or more) - this one is no different.

I know this is erotica and not a typical romance, but I really didn't get the sense of an ending here, happily ever after or otherwise. It seems as though she left Chase hanging in the wind. Jaci didn't strike me as too bright and she was a bit too ambiguous for my taste. I hope that there won't be a sequel and that the next novel Lora writes bring us something new and exciting as were her earliest works. I haven't given up faith - it's just on hold.

Worth the wait....
I eagerly anticipated the arrival of this book after pre-ordering it several months ago. I was not disappointed. The story line and plot are well written and as usual, the sex is HOT. The ONLY reason I didn't give this book 5 stars was the editing. I found that towards the end, certain scenes just didn't jive with how the previous storyline had been written. There was a menage scene towards the end where it almost seemed the Falladay twins were trying to "convince" Jaci to relax and enjoy what was happening as if it were the first time they were seducing her. She had already been with them in 3 previous menages so this just didn't flow with what had previously happened. Also, after having unprotected sex with Cam on MANY previous occasions and having established that they were both safe to do so, all of a sudden Cam dons a condom in a very heated moment....WHY?? They had previously determined they were both disease free and that she was on birth control. It just kind of threw the story off for me. Without spoiling the ending, I also wish there would have been more information given as to Chase's relationship with a certain character who he was "fond" of so I could really believe the twist at the end which led to the resolution of the problems for Jaci. There was never any indication throughout the whole book that Cam or Chase even knew of this character until the end. It made Cam's actions and Chase's emotions less believeable because of this lack of history. I also wish there would have been more of a happy ending for Chase as it seemed he was going to be the fifth wheel in the relationship at the end. I LOVE LL's Tempting Seals series and am eagerly anticipating the third book in the Nauti series. I've ordered Forbidden Pleasures and look forward to reading it as well as Wild Card and Macey's story in the Tempting Seals series. Keep up the good work LL!! Your books are excellent!

Wicked Pleasure
Jaci Wright has loved Cameron Falladay as long as she could remember. When she was thirteen, she told her dark knight in no uncertain terms to wait for her to grow up that she loved him, and would always make the bad things go away. Shortly after her twenty first birthday, she had offered herself and her virginity to him, but when she couldn't be with both he and his twin Chase, he turned her away. Seven years later was the next time Jaci was in the presence of Chase and Cam. She had taken a job her friend Courtney Sinclair had requested she relocate to Virginia for. The twins were also in Virginia, and both still wanted her, but could easily see the differences in her. She was no longer full of fire, and the force of nature they were used to. She guarded her privacy, avoided getting involved with anyone, and most disturbing she had built a wall around herself that no one had been able to penetrate.

Congressman Richard and Annalee Roberts have been tormenting Jaci for the past five years. They virtually blackballed her in every social circle, threatened her, and made everyone hesitant to hire her as an interior designer. Cam wanted to know why she didn't defend herself, and why she was constantly running. Jaci in turn couldn't trust Cam because he wasn't being honest with her either. There were old demons in him that kept him from wholly being with her. Those devils had been there for years, but he was more closed off to her emotionally now. Even with all the issues threatening their fragile relationship, Jaci couldn't resist Cam and Chase. Together, they showed her the intense pleasure she had denied herself in the past.

Jaci and Cam are well written characters that you will become completely immersed in. Cam has a tortured soul, and his ability to deal with his past is paramount if he hopes to have any kind of future especially one that includes Jaci. Jaci is a complex character, but the one constant in her life is the love she has for Cam. She is strong, and even though it tears her heart, she is able to tell Cam that she needs all of him not just bits and pieces. A good story that will be hard to put down until you are finished.

Not so wicked
------SPOILER ALERT------
If you are familiar with Shayla Black's erotic novel Decadent, then you will see a lot of similarities. There is no permanent ménage love relationship, just sharing, so Chase becomes a third wheel.

I was expecting something along the lines of LL's Forbidden Pleasure, but it never said that on the back cover, so the joke's on me.

Cam and Chase are brooding, hunky twins, and a night of passion has Jaci balking at her feelings, and Cam pushes her away. This seems to be a pattern in LL's books in the prologues, and it's becoming very annoying.

I love LL's heroines, for being intelligent and confident enough to know what they want, but someone who worries what others will think because she doesn't have a vanilla sex life is rather ridiculous.

As for all of those rumors because of the social network they were privy to, it seemed ludicrous that grownups would place so much faith on busybodies, and past histories that were none of their business. It happens in real life every day, but it doesn't mean it should happen. These were all grownups, and all the gossiping was worse than a group of giggling teenage girls at lunch.

The sex is hot as always, but if anyone is looking for a HEA, yes, it's there, but after what happens at the climax of the plot, and Cam being apalled Jaci learns about his past, the ending left a bitter taste in my mouth.

Jaci got her man, but it didn't leave me wanting more.
